Antique French Cast Iron Trivet
This is a fantastic piece and one you’ll use and keep forever. I have two cast iron trivets of my own, one round and one oval, and they are never out of use in the kitchen. Whilst mine aren’t saving my table and surfaces from hot pans and dishes, they make very pretty stands for fruit bowls and flower pots! The antique cast iron ones I’ve found in France are my very favourites as they have all the charm and romance of a well used and well loved piece of the home. This particular one is the most fabulous dark green and has little rubber feet which is very important as it means it won’t scratch any surfaces. I don’t find many still with their shoes intact so I’m very happy this one does.

This is a vintage so has all the marks you would expect. There are rusty patches but no breaks or cracks to the 1930s metalwork which is really very lovely indeed.
