A Pantone Coffee Pot Story

£34.00
sold out

I don’t know about you but we could happily eat brunch all day every day. It really should be hailed as the best and most important meal of the day. It comes at just the right time, when you’re fully awake and peckish and in need of a reason to stop, sit down and drink yet another cup of coffee. It contains all our favourite things….hot bread, steaming coffee, home made jam, a glass of juice…there really are no rules but this is pretty standard in our house. Usually there are a couple of boiled eggs thrown in too because hot bread dipped in to a boiled egg really is one of life’s great pleasures.

But we digress, what we really want to share with you are the lovely things you can use on your table to make the brunch even better.

We were given a Pantone Coffee Pot some years ago and we fell head over heels. So much so we bought them up in as many colours as we could and thank goodness we did as they are now discontinued!!! I was so shocked when I heard that I even wrote to the good people of Pantone to ask them why on earth you’d stop making something so beautiful. Well turns out it was a licensed product under their Pantone Universe collection and the licensee no longer wanted to make the pots. Crazy. But never fear as Jay and Mel have a few tucked away and here is one of our favourites in the brightest blue (PANTONE 661)

Brand new, never used, in its box and ready to go out to brunch. 6 cup stove top coffee pot. 20cm tall. PANTONE 661.

We have used these pots on all manner of stove tops from electric to gas to Aga. They seem happy wherever you put them and make the tastiest coffee. Although I’m told not good on an induction hob so if you have one of those, I advise you to get another cooker. Just wait for that gurgle and splutter as it tells you it’s ready to go. Magic.
