French RICARD Glass Ashtray
I always think it’s a little sad when things like this get thrown out. I know there aren’t many in need of ashtrays these days (which is a good thing) but it doesn’t mean that they can’t find a new story in a smoke free world!
I love these glass ashtrays simply because the colour and shape is just such a wonderful example of french design but I also adore the RICARD logo. It’s a little bit of french history and makes me long to be sitting in a french cafe, in the sunshine and sipping a panache….but without the cigarette bit.
I have one of these glass ashtrays on my dressing table where it looks after rings and necklaces and buttons and hair ties. Much happier being used than thrown out and forgotten just because it has a smokey past.
