Very Rare Antique Spode Copeland Dish with Domed Lid (1875-1890)
This is a wonderful dish. I kept calling it a tureen but I’m not sure it is….possibly a cheese dish…or a serving plate with lid…or just a very special plate for very special food which deserves a very special reveal. Who knows but I I do know that it is very lovely indeed and super rare.
The makers mark puts it between 1875-1890 and it is in incredibly condition for its age. There is some fading to the gold trim on the handle and rim but aside from that it’s glorious with no chips, cracks, crazing or mends. The pattern is Willow.
